Welcome to Total Rehab Education and Training – driven by the clinical leadership of Elissa Wilkes (Barden), an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of dedicated experience in seating, wheelchair scripting, pressure care, and manual handling. Elissa’s career has been shaped by extensive work with individuals living with spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, and complex rehabilitation needs. Her deep commitment to these core areas has evolved into a passion for education, identifying the growing need for inclusive, evidence-based training that reflects the realities of clinical practice.

Elissa’s passion for education has been shaped by a long-standing career as a hands-on therapist, clinical educator, supervisor, and university lecturer. With extensive experience delivering both online and face-to-face training, and mentoring therapists in complex seating and manual handling, she responded to a critical need for real-time learning that meets clinicians where they are … regardless of experience level or learning goals.
